We’re back again to introduce you to another of the super-smart and very much appreciated individuals behind the scenes, who is also celebrating his 1st anniversary at Novidea this week.
Say hello to Gino Weller, our UK-based solution architect who is the human link between our technology and our customers’ business needs. If you ever want advice on your next food adventure or need to know Leo DiCaprio’s birthday, Gino’s your man.
Meet Gino Weller, Solution Architect, UK
1. What is your favorite Novidea memory?
It was great getting to travel to Israel last year to meet my colleagues from our Israel and US offices. The tour around the food market in Jerusalem was a particular highlight.
2. What’s the nerdiest thing you do in your free time?
I like to go on Google Street View, turn the timeline back as far as it will go and compare old street view photos to what’s there today. Is that nerdy or just sad?
3. What are some of your hobbies?
Normally I like to box, weight train, travel and play video games. But in more recent (locked down) times I’m more into board games like Monopoly and chess.
4. What’s the best place you’ve ever traveled to?
I absolutely love Las Vegas and have been back there each of the past three years. I also got to go to Argentina last year and loved it, mainly because of the food!
5. What’s your hidden talent?
For some reason I’m really good at remembering the month and year of people’s births, both for people I know and for celebrities. I can also recall the year of all songs that I know. I’m currently searching for a more useful talent.
6. What’s the coolest thing about your job?
Being one of the early members of the team here in the UK has given me the opportunity to help ‘shape’ things and I feel that I am making a valuable contribution. It’s also satisfying to look back at how far we’ve come here in the UK in a short time.
We hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about the people who drive the smart behind Novidea! Stay tuned for our next feature.
