Business Analyst

Business Analyst - UK

Insurance Business analyst goal is to deliver rapid, value-driven customer solutions for complex Insurance business problems. The system analyst plays a key role in determining the optimal use of the Novidea product per client. He will liaison between the business side to the implementation and the development team in house: needs to collaborate with end users and the project staff to evaluate the system, turn business goals into technical requirements. (Don’t need to writing code but know enough to speak and explain to the technical people).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Defines application problem by conferring with clients; evaluating procedures and processes

  2. Gap Analysis

  3. Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions

  4. Controls solution by establishing specifications; coordinating production with programmers

  5. Validates results by testing programs

  6. Provides reference by writing documentation

Requirements

  • Extensive experience and understanding of London Market Insurance industry and need for digital disruption

  • Foundational understanding of how quoting, underwriting, policy administration and renewals are important

  • An extensive knowledge of P&C UK insurance

  • Experience of working on designing and architecting Insurance Services solutions while working closely with implementation teams, ideally using Agile development techniques

  • Good experience in variety of Software life cycle activities:Design, Documentation writing, Development Process, Requirements, Architecture- An advantage

  • Good team player

  • Excellent Written and oral communication skills
